Please see message below and attached from Henry Snow, GRFU Volunteers Sector Head

Dear All

As GRFU would not survive without its dedicated and very willing volunteer workforce, we will be recognising those volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution to rugby within the county this season.  As part of the GRFU Volunteers Recognition and Reward Programme we will be holding a “GRFU Volunteers of the Season Event,” which will be held at Minchinhampton RFC during the day of Friday 3rd March.

We are honoured to be able to announce that the event will be attended by our Patron, The Princess Royal, who will be opening Minchinhampton RFC’s new clubhouse and changing rooms, meeting our volunteers of the season and enjoying a rugby match between a Mike Tindall XV and a GRFU team. The event will be a celebration of grassroots rugby within the county.

Attached is a nomination form for you to complete and return to Henry Snow, Volunteers Sector Head, at by 20 January 2017. PLEASE DO NOT TELL THE NOMINEE THAT THEY ARE BEING PUT FORWARD just in case they are not chosen by the Awards Panel.

Nominations can be made by anyone and should reflect the wide and varied roles that volunteers play within the game (eg: coach, player, referee, first aider, administrator, groundsman, bar steward etc.) We are happy to accept more than one nomination per club. Please make sure the nomination has enough detail about their activities and the roles they have undertaken, as well as the impact that they have made this season.  Those that are selected by our Awards Panel will be contacted directly so please be sure their phone, email and address are correct.

You will need to move quickly now to ensure that your club/school/society does not miss out on this. We look forward to hearing from you in the next couple of weeks and please remember to send the forms to and not County Office.

Kind regards

Henry Snow – Volunteers Sector Head
